After-school program in the BIOTOPIA Lab

PROGRAM DURING THE PENTECOST VACATIONS

UNFORTUNATELY ALREADY FULLY BOOKED!

We are working on more after-school programs for the next school vacations!

During the 2022 Pentecost vacations, the BIOTOPIA Lab will offer a program for after-school groups for the first time. On Tuesday, June 7 and Wednesday, June 8, after-school classes can register for free 2-hour hands-on workshops.

On Tuesday, the program "Bare Your Teeth" will take place, on Wednesday our course "The Eternal Garden". In addition, our fungi exhibition, the Mystery Object and our flight simulator Birdly can be explored together with our Lab Pilots.

Tuesday, June 7

bare your teeth

We learn how to recognize the eating and living habits of animals from their bones and teeth. We feel the teeth of deer and lynx, look at the skulls of elephant and rhinoceros and recognize the difference between carnivores and herbivores.

Wednesday, June 8

The eternal garden

We build a garden in a jar! When planting our mini-biotopes, we consider the conditions under which the garden can grow and thrive well. It's also about natural ecosystems and our responsibility to our environment.

Please bring your own jars for this program!

Suitable, for example, old jars of cucumber or jam, rinsed with boiling water.

BIOTOPIA activities for home

With an exciting hands-on program, the BIOTOPIA Lab can also be experienced at home. Instructions, experiments and do-it-yourself concepts bring "hands-on science" into your own four walls. BIOTOPIA Lab@Home awakens interest in scientific relationships and provides inspiration for young and old. It gives a taste of the activities in the BIOTOPIA Lab - from bottle gardens or growing your own mushrooms to isolating DNA from vegetables or fruit. Browse the website and find the right experiment for you!
