In the BIOTOPIA Lab, the 2G plus regulation according to the current Bavarian Infection Protection Measures Ordinance (14. BayIfSMV) applies to events on Thursday: We therefore ask you to bring an appropriate proof (complete proof of vaccination or proof of recovery) and additionally a negative test proof (a rapid test is sufficient for this, valid for 24h) as well as a valid photo ID to the event.

Mask: FFP-2.
Please come in time to the main entrance of the Botanical Garden, Menzingerstr. 65, 80638 Munich, you will be picked up there and the 2G plus rule will be checked.
This event is part of Hi!A - Festival für Kunst und Forschung in Bayern.
The binocular/stereo magnifier provides stepless, three-dimensional magnification - making tiny objects from the plant world (e.g., the stamens of a flower) large and "tangible". You can see the moist velvety texture of a surface and almost feel as if you could stroke it with your fingertip! "Binos", as they are popularly abbreviated, are also an important instrument of observation in science.
In this course, participants receive a brief introduction to the use of the binocular. They then draw what they have observed in magnification with professional support. In addition, they learn interesting facts about the plants and their inhabitants and pollinators.
Feel free to bring your own plant models that you find interesting (ANYTHING IS INTERESTING! a blade of grass, a flower, a seed head, a simple leaf and its veining!) - in addition, we will also offer you suitable plant material in the course.
The course is suitable for curious beginners as well as for advanced drafters who want to take a new look at things.
Instructor Yasumin Lermer is a draftsperson at the botanical garden, and can provide support at any level in the small group.
You are welcome to bring your own drawing materials or they will be provided in class (drawing sheet, 3B pencil, kneaded eraser, sharpener).
