How is the definition of museum-based research changing in the 21st century? How can museums facilitate the creation of knowledge with and by the public? How can exhibitions become experiments? How can museum-based research help address "complicated problems," from climate change to biodiversity crashes? This interdisciplinary panel will explore the future of knowledge creation in museums.
Ken Arnold is Director of the Medical Museion in Copenhagen and Professor in the Department of Public Health at the University of Copenhagen.
Tahani Nadim is Junior Professor of European Ethnology at HU Berlin and the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin.
Johannes Vogel is Director General of the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin and Professor of Biodiversity and Public Science at HU Berlin.
