"Every single person has an impact on the development of our planet, and we have the choice to decide what kind of difference we want to make." With this core message, Dr. Jane Goodall traveled around the world until the very end. Now, the most significant primatologist has passed away during a lecture tour in California.
We remember with gratitude the precious moments we were able to experience with her – in 2023, for example, Jane Goodall was a guest at the BIOTOPIA Lab. She spoke to schoolchildren about her encounters with chimpanzees during her time as an active researcher and encouraged them to get involved in helping people, animals, and nature.
And in the series “Agents of change for a better future,” we also had the opportunity to see Jane Goodall in conversation with Prof. Dr. Michael John Gorman, former founding director of the Bavarian Natural History Museum.
We take her central appeal, “We really have to take action now,” as an important incentive for our work for the Bavarian Natural History Museum with BIOTOPIA Lab.
Thank you, Jane!
