Are you between 7 and 18 years old, live in Bavaria, and want to explore nature with a camera or smartphone? Go on a photo safari—and enter the 20th edition of “Nature in Focus” by September 30, 2026!
You don’t even have to go far from home to do this. You can find great photo subjects in your garden, on your balcony, in a nearby meadow, or while taking a walk in the park. If you look closely, you’ll discover the beauty, uniqueness, and ever-changing nature of our natural world everywhere. “Nature in Focus” isn’t so much about technical perfection and the best equipment, but rather about interesting subjects, exciting compositions, and above all, your creativity!
There are two categories—and you can submit two photos in each. That means you can enter a maximum of four photos in the competition for the attractive prizes.
Category A: Beloved Nature
Where can you really unwind, laugh out loud, or just take a deep breath? Do you have a favorite spot in the forest, a lake you keep returning to, or a mountain panorama you can’t get enough of? Show us YOUR MOMENT in nature!
Category B: Nature Under Threat
Bavaria’s natural world is diverse and beautiful—but it is increasingly reaching its limits. We are looking for photos that take a closer look. Places and situations where nature is under threat: trash along a stream bank, sealed-off areas, or destroyed habitats. But also images that show where people are taking action: trash cleanup campaigns, helping toads cross the road, or projects that improve habitats. Show us photos that raise awareness—whether documentary or creative: what matters is your own perspective. Your message.
